Very much it would be desirable to discuss a theme of all possible alphanumeric designations of chords for case of their writing in one line. It is known, that in a standard kind such designations register quite often not a kind of the usual text (as for example in the program the Notebook), and their writing usually reminds mathematical formulas where numbers raise to the power and so on.

The program «YGS Guitar Chords Help System» supposes input of an alphanumeric designation in the form of a plain text in one line. I have tried to bypass somehow this problem, but is assured, that skilled musicians could advise something interesting.

I talked today on this theme to our drummer Vyacheslav Kokalin (it has received music education in conservatory). He has told, that a beautiful melody and beautiful music not always one and too. One business - to write a beautiful melody for a song, and the another matter is perfect - to carry out to transfer a problem certain mood in symphonic product. Still he has told surprising thought for me. It appears, the same melody can be used or is absolutely worthless or very ingenious. I have been very impressed from this conversation.

To users of programs :: RE: Program «Musical Examiner»

Àâòîð: admin
Äîáàâëåíî: Ïò ßíâ 11, 2008 6:53 pm (GMT 0)

And now the program description in brief:

«Musical Examiner» helps to improve musical abilities, it's aimed at training the user's ability to seize music using musical ear and perform it at once. This gives practical experience no textbook can give and can only be obtaining by performing music. 16 tracks of MIDI sequencer allows to study to create music, playing the mouse on the virtual MIDI keyboard.

Version 2008.01.08. Compatible with Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista.

Here is what «Musical Examiner» offers:

1. Examine your ear for music. Result logs will show your progress and how precise you orientate on keyboard looking the right pitch of sound.
2. «Musical Examiner» examines (and trains) your musical memory. «Musical Examiner» has exercises for memorizing not only one tone, but melodic sequences of one to eight notes. All exercises are generated by the program therefore no duplications of note sequences on every start are possible.
3. Choice of tasks of two-note sequence on chromatic scale is very useful relative musical ear training exercise.
4. Suggested mode choice introduces main natural modes. Being based on the <mode sense> practicing in these modes develops ear for music, that is the main solfeggio direction.
5. In mode tasks the knowledge of scale notes is supposed. Turning the extramode sounds off the selected mode helps to cope with the <Mode and Key> chapter and gives hints during task fulfillment.
6. Listening skill and ability to recognize the sounded note in specific mode are developed. This ability depends on how good the ear for music is developed and also on music memory that should keep «to yourself» stable mode sounds.
7. Tasks with two-note sequences in mode develops both mode-sense (transforming instable sounds into stable) and inner ear as well as ability to recognize intervals in mode. Knowledge and ability to hear melodic sound of all basic triad and seventh types chords are given at task selection.
8. «Musical Examiner» is provided for the possibility of a real solfeggio test as during the studying process the log file is created and it contains information on how often the user had used the program and how much time it had taken
9. Exercises results are kept in special log of marks for all kinds of tasks. According to this log a music teacher can evaluate pupil's progress.
10. Work time is automatically accounted in TimeLog.txt in installation folder (short cut in Start menu for easy access). TimeLog.txt is automatically created after entering the registration code on shutting down the program. The file can be edited or deleted (it recreates and updates automatically). TimeLog.txt allows parents or music teacher to control time pupil works with the program.
11. «Musical Examiner» is equipped with 16 channel MIDI sequencer which can be used as an editor for making-up musical phrases (including polyphonic) in studies. Music teachers can participate in making up drills for the program. To do so, contact the developer. «Musical Examiner» uses MIDI sequencer available in any soundcard.
12. Additional options include metronome with visual indication and continuous tune oscillator for tuning musical instruments.
13. Help arranged as built-in step-by-step instructions.

Àâòîð: admin
Äîáàâëåíî: ×ò ßíâ 10, 2008 8:02 pm (GMT 0)

How much I can apply for that beginning guitarists (and not only guitarists) have obeyed me? Something in me speaks to me - "I am assured, that I am the good musician" though I not the virtuoso and am far not most high-speed in a city the guitarist (I admit, me simply to perfect laziness the technics and speed of game on a guitar, creative problems are more interesting to me, but also here I do not apply for leadership, unfortunately it is impossible to keep up with several priorities in a life).

So, my council, even is faster my relation to game on a guitar:

If play something already learnt, be concentrated to beauty of execution of music (on the technician of beautiful execution that all listeners has impressed), the rest will gradually be put (impellent and visual your abilities should obey to your musical and physical hearing).

If you improvise, try to play the most interesting melody IN YOUR OPINION a concrete interval of time. It is better to play not so quickly, but it is more beautiful, than to play more òåõíè÷íî and it is ugly.

Alas, if you play public, it is necessary to limit improvisation freedom not to afflict hearing of the listener probable îøèêàìè (the more freedom, the there are more than errors), but even at such rigid restrictions it is possible to play very well sometimes, and even without a rough applause you smile after improvisation execution (you precisely know that, that have played well) enough.
Help to beginning musicians :: RE: Guitar purchase (the basic complexities)

Àâòîð: admin
Äîáàâëåíî: ×ò ßíâ 10, 2008 7:05 pm (GMT 0)

QUESTION:

I here on an old age of years have dared to learn to play a guitar. Earlier never and in hands did not hold... And so, the help, council there any, on several points is necessary:
1. As well as where it to buy? On what parametres them choose? And where we in a city/small town have such shops?
2. Somebody can will prompt - any courses or that-thread such. It is desirable in small town.
3. Simply interestingly: whether really to be learnt to play under self-instruction manuals???
In advance thanks for understanding

HERE THAT I HAVE ANSWERED:

To buy it is possible for 7000 - 10000 roubles (in Russia, approximately 300...400 USD) quite decent tool (I warn, from 40 guitars in a good condition there will be 2-3 guitars for such price, other guitars will have too chance to finish them to mind at the master, but I dont like this trouble). So necessarily take with itself in shop of the skilled guitarist or the guitar master, such person precisely knows, that can break off in the tool and that is a trifle. Surprisingly, but I was mistaken once at electroguitar purchase as behind shoulders I had basically an experience on acoustic guitars, and with electroguitars to this case carried, so "one beaten two unbeaten costs".

To buy it is possible the good second-hand tool even for 1000 roubles (in Russia, approximately 40 USD), but for this purpose it is necessary, that to you has carried, and here too it is necessary to have with itself the master or the skilled guitarist. The main thing, do not mix real experience of the musician with its overestimated self-estimation.

It is better to buy good second-hand guitar, than new bad for the same money.

To me has had the luck to buy in student's years very cheaply el-guitar Eterna de Luxe (Germany). On its top a deck (a plate covering wires) there were cracks, from an underside there were traces whether from an iron, whether from a soldering iron. But it well tuned, had long sustain, and had good signature stamp.

If absolutely be at a loss, when the variant employ will turn up or ask to check up the skilled person the tool not to burn money in vain.

From new instruments inexpensive I extremely seldom met the good guitar.

Courses - has put probably good, especially if will carry with the teacher. But I advise to you to use the teacher as the favourable interactive directory-adviser of times in a month or once a week. The others of 99 % of efforts are your independent employment. Sometimes hour of independent employment gives I pound more, than hour of auscultation of the teacher. So occasionally it is necessary to employ the teacher that it conducted you a correct course.

Under self-instruction manuals really to be learnt, I and was learnt, if is fair... The good teacher even employed once can give at one o'clock to your advice how not to earn professional illness of joints ect.. There is a lot of a good teaching material in a network, think any searcher will allow to find it quickly. I have some material, I have downloaded it literally in some hours from different sites.

The main thing if there is a talent give it chance of to show.
Hello, respected users of the program «Musical Examiner». I'm the author of this program also I'm ready to hand over with gratitude registration keys all that who will help valuable ideas or remarks (which certainly are much more expensive, than 100 roubles for the program).

Here it is possible to criticise safely the program, to praise it. The obscene abuse categorically is forbidden. Besides, the author is interested in meaningful dialogue, instead of in findings-out who understands this or that question is better.
